Edward joined Birmingham Business School as an Associate Professor in January 2023. Prior to this he worked at Coventry University across a range of roles including Curriculum Lead for Marketing. During this time, he developed extensive teaching experience and has successfully guided marketing programs through accreditations processes (EFMD). He has also led major curriculum development/review activities specialising in the development of authentic assessment strategies. Edward has experience in the use of innovative technologies in teaching, such as marketing simulation platforms. 

Edward completed his PhD at Lancaster University Management School in 2016, the thesis investigated the influence of private equity ownership on lifestyle brands in the UK. Edward is passionate about the interaction between academia and industry, and in 2022 he successfully secured funding from Innovate UK for a Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (mKTP).
