Linda is a Reader in Strategy and International Business at Birmingham Business School in the University of Birmingham. Her main research interests include decision-making, internationalization of firms, management of international strategic alliances and reshoring. Her research has been funded by the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust. She has published in Journal of World Business, international Business Review, Journal of International Management, Management International Review, R&D Management, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. Linda is an editorial board member of Journal of International Management. She also serves as a reviewer to leading management journals (ABS 3* and 4*) and the British Academy’s 2019 Programme on Humanities and Social Sciences Tackling the UK’s International Challenges.

Linda joined Birmingham Business School in June 2019. She previously worked at SOAS University of London, University of Birmingham from 2008 to 2015, and at Sheffield Hallam University. While working at SOAS, she had various administrative responsibilities, including the Deputy Chair of Undergraduate Exam Board at School of Finance and Management, BSc International Management (China) Programme convenor, and SOAS Graduate Entrepreneur Panel member. Linda was also a Member of SOAS Impact Working Group and she had contributed to the draft SOAS Impact Strategy and reviewed impact acceleration fund applications.

Linda has developed a growing reputation for her joint work in the area of SME internationalization. She has co-chaired conference tracks in this research area for both EURAM and AIB UK & Ireland chapter.

Linda has supervised and examined a number of doctoral students. She is currently external examiner at University of Sheffield, Management School. From 2011 to 2015, she was external examiner at University of Liverpool, Management School.
