A formal invitation letter to those who need it to apply for a visa to UK will be issued soon after the registration is completed.

Travel, accommodation and special requirements

The School of Chemical Engineering is on Edgbaston campus and instructions on how to get there can be found on: www.birmingham.ac.uk/contact/directions/edgbaston-directions.aspx.

The university’s Conference Hotel (www.venuebirmingham.com/sleep/conference-accommodation) has been booked for the participants who have made registrations to stay for the two nights 26 and 27 August. 

To those who need extra nights, please make your own booking directly on the above website.

Birmingham International Airport has a good connection to most of the major airports in the world. You can take a taxi from the airport to The University’s Conference Hotel, which can cost £30-35 or take a train from the airport to Birmingham New Street Station and then take a taxi from the train station to the hotel (~£10).

If you arrive at London Heathrow Airport, please take a coach (www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx)  to Birmingham Coach Station. You can then take a taxi from the station in Birmingham to The University’s Conference Hotel with the address as follows:
