As soon as you arrive, you need to register with the Student Records Office in the Aston Webb Building (click here for a map and directions to the University) who will issue you with a student registration number, which is essential for your studies at Birmingham.
If English is not your first language you will also need to take the University's internal English test (BADT) at the University’s English for International Students Unit (EISU). This test is in addition to any English qualification needed in order to enter the University. The results are used to advise you about any English courses you may need to take whilst studying here.
You should also see Dr John Wilkie in the first week to discuss which Chemistry courses to take.
