Chemistry module - Inorganic Chemistry III

Inorganic Chemistry III

You will extend the principles and concepts learned in your first two years to their application in inorganic chemistry, with examples drawn from across the entire periodic table and related to our research-led areas of health, sustainability and energy.

The topics covered include ligand exchange reactions and homogeneous catalysis by transition metal compounds, magnetic molecules and electronic spectroscopy of transition metal compounds/complexes, band theory, f-block elements and their chemistry, and the chemistry of magnetic materials.
