Physical Chemistry
Physical Chemistry is the science of measuring and understanding the behaviour of molecules. It provides us with the tools we need to study structures and chemical processes.
In this course we discuss whether and why reactions happen, how quickly they happen and ways to understand how. We’ll introduce you to the world of quantum mechanics and how it relates to spectroscopy.
You’ll learn how spectroscopy works and how it can be used to deduce the structure of molecules. Understanding and being able to measure the behaviour of molecules is fundamental to the research in our School.
