We are hosting our second annual PG one day symposium in the University of Birmingham’s Department of Drama and Theatre Arts.

The aim of this Symposium is to create an open forum for PG students across universities to meet one another and share their work and work in progress. Our event foregrounds the presentation of new research in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that Prof. Peter M. Boenisch (University of Kent) will be with us throughout the day to respond and contribute to our discussions before closing the event with a keynote paper: 'Researching Regietheater: The work of German director Thomas Ostermeier at Schaubühne Berlin'.

Masters and PhD students from any university are invited to attend the event. As the University of Birmingham is placed within the Midlands 3 Cities Consortium we particularly encourage attendance from students from within the member universities or affiliated organisations.

The event is free and lunch will be provided. Welcome registration will open at 9:30, and the event will close with a drinks reception at 17:30. If you have any queries or would like to attend the event please confirm your attendance by emailing slt406@bham.ac.uk before 12:00 on Friday 13 May.

Venue: Orchard Learning Resource Centre (OLRC), Selly Oak
