SUMMARY:Serious Money
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/205309
DESCRIPTION:by Caryl Churchill
Directed by Tim Trimingham Lee
Serious Money by Caryl Churchill is set in the late eighties, but its satirical dissection of capitalism gone bonkers, crimes gone unpunished, and greed gone unchecked hasn’t aged. In many ways a lot of where we are now can be traced to those heady days of massive change during the reign of Thatcher following Big Bang.\n
Part murder mystery, part farce, and all theatrical mayhem, Serious Money is history as serious entertainment for our uncertain present.\n
This amateur production of “Serious Money” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. \n
