Part of the national Being Human Festival and part of the CCLC’s 2021-22 programme of events.

Is a free public event at The Exchange brings together local poet laureates, Casey Bailey and Fatma Mohiuddin, alongside University of Birmingham students and academics for an evening of live stories and readings that reflect the multiplicity of Birmingham as a Commonwealth City.

Over the course of an hour, the event will stage vital conversations about living in the UK’s second city, exploring its Commonwealth histories, local identities and communities, and the potential of more sustainable and equitable futures.

Recommended age 14+.
