Join CSNA for a paper presentation by historian James West discussing research from his forthcoming book A House for the Struggle: The Black Press and the Built Environment in Chicago (Illinois, 2022).

West is a writer and historian at the University of York and is the author of Ebony Magazine and Lerone Bennett, Jr.: Popular Black History in Postwar America (Illinois, 2020) named one of the “Best Black History Books of 2020" by Black Perspectives. We welcome Dr. West back to the University of Birmingham.
