New research-focussed positions in the Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics

We are pleased to announce two new research-focussed  positions:

  • A Professorial Research Fellow in Corpus Linguistics
  • A Birmingham Fellow in Languages and Linguistics

This is part of a broader initiative on the part of the university to recruit high level research-focussed staff in order to build its international research reputation.

Linguistics (in particular corpus linguistics) has been identified as key research priority by the University. Further information about the scheme can be found within the Birmingham Fellows webpages.
