Biography

Born and raised in the south of France, I became interested in language learning from an early age. I studied many of them at different levels. After my undergraduate studies, I had a short work experience in England and I decided to study to become a teacher of French as a second language. I completed my Masters in teaching in 2011, and I have been teaching French ever since. I have taught French in Bulgaria (briefly), Taïwan, France, and China (for 7 years).

Research

I am interested in vocabulary (in particular formulaic language) processing and acquisition. My research investigates how native speakers of French and learners of French as a second language process collocations when the two parts of the collocations are separated by other intervening words. My research will initially address the online processing of these nonadjacent collocations. The second aspect of my research will look at the acquisition side of this phenomenon in French as a second language.
