I am a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow. Together with Professor Michael Toolan, I work on DINEQ [“Tracking discoursal shift in news media representation of economic inequality: developing and applying corpus linguistic and critical discourse analysis methods”], a project which will run from September 2016 to August 2018.

After completing my PhD thesis on E. E. Cummings’ experimental poetry at the University of Granada in 2013, I have taught undergraduate courses on English Language and ESP at Spain. Now I have joined the English Language and Applied Linguistics department, where I will be working together with Professor Michael Toolan on a research project funded by the European Commission from September 2016 to August 2018.

I can supervise students working on different topics in Stylistics or Graphology.


My research interests cover Stylistics, Discourse Analysis and Graphology. I am currently working on the representation of social inequality in the British press together with Professor Michael Toolan in DINEQ, a project funded by the European Commission which will run from September 2016 to August 2018.

Other activities

I am currently participating in the teaching project “Adapting teaching materials to visually and/or auditory impaired students in the degree in English Studies”, which is run by Professor Marta Falces Sierra at the University of Granada, Spain. I am also co-editor of GRETA Journal, which publishes manuscripts on English Language Teaching.
