The School of English, Drama and American and Canadian Studies is proud to host Orange Prize winning author and poet Helen Dunmore on campus on Thursday 5th February 2015.

Helen Dunmore is a poet, novelist, short story and children’s writer.  She was the inaugural winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction for A Spell of Winter.  Among other awards, her work has received the McKitterick Prize, the Signal Award for Poetry and First Prize in the National Poetry Competition. Her most recent novel is The Lie, and her latest poetry collection is The Malarkey.  Her work is translated into more than thirty languages, and she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

Join us as one of the UK's most acclaimed storytellers reads from, and discusses, her work.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Helen following this talk during a complimentary drinks reception and book signing.
