Do you want to immerse yourself in the works of Shakespeare? This Open Afternoon is your opportunity to learn more about studying at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon and join a fascinating Thursday seminar with former Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company Adrian Noble.

The University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute is opening it's doors to invite prospective postgraduate students to learn more about our range of innovative study opportunities for September 2023 and beyond.

This event will be held both in person at The Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon and online.

You will have the chance to join the Thursday Seminar with Adrian Noble, who was the Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1990 to 2003

This event is for prospective postgraduate students interested in developing or advancing careers in creative or academic fields – from teaching and lecturing to writing, acting or directing – as well as anyone with an interest in Shakespeare. It will give you a taster of postgraduate study with The Shakespeare Institute, and give you a chance to hear first-hand what it is like to study in Stratford-upon-Avon. For those visiting the campus in person there will be on opportunity to take a tour of the Shakespeare Institute Library. 

There will also be the opportunity to hear about our exciting collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Compan and how that will impact your studies at the Shakespeare Institute.

Please note: For those joining online, the event will take place on Zoom and you will receive your zoom link 5 minutes before the event is due to start. You will need to register for the event to be able to attend.
