Interested in Shakespeare, creativity, performance or applied theatre? This Open Day is your opportunity to learn more about our postgraduate opportunities at the Shakespeare Institute and the Department of Drama and Theatre Arts and to experience MA and PhD level workshops and lectures.

The University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute is opening its virtual doors to invite prospective postgraduate students to learn more about our range of innovative study opportunities. There will also be the opportunity to hear about our exciting collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company and how that will impact your studies at the University of Birmingham.

This event will be held online via Zoom. There will be a Question and Answer session with experts from the RSC, including director Kimberley Sykes, who has directed As You Like It and Dido, Queen of Carthage for the RSC, as well as Romeo and Juliet at Regent’s Park.

This event is for prospective postgraduate students interested in developing or advancing careers in creative or academic fields in relation to the study of Shakespeare and the field of applied theatre. It will give you a taster of postgraduate study with The Shakespeare Institute and the Department of Drama and Theatre Arts, and give you a chance to hear first-hand what it is like to study in Stratford-upon-Avon and on our dedicated Drama campus on the Selly Oak site in Birmingham.
