Being Human, Shakespeare's emotions, lost and found

Dates
Friday 17 November (14:14) - Sunday 17 December 2017 (14:14)

Being Human, Shakespeare’s emotions, lost and found: How is emotion represented in Shakespeare’s plays, and what does this mean for us today? This public event, aimed at college and university students, will explore both the familiarity and strangeness of emotional experience in Shakespeare’s writing. Join academics from the University of Birmingham’s Shakespeare Institute and theatre practitioners from the Royal Shakespeare Company as they discuss the drama, history, philosophy, theatrical and personal dimensions of emotion in Shakespeare. Attendees will also have the chance to work with passages chosen by members of the panel as part of this interactive event.
