Exploring Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories on Stage

The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues will be running several activities at the University of Birmingham’s Community Day on the 7th September 2014 and will be offering the chance for young people to take part in musical workshops culminating in a performance on stage!

BMOS Musical Theatre Company will be leading workshops exploring Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories.  Young people between the ages of 5 and 16 can take part in a 90 minute workshop to learn songs and stories, before performing on the stage in Chancellor’s Court.  Family, friends and other members of the public will be welcome to watch.  The performances will be filmed and all young people will be offered a copy, along with a goodie bag and free facepainting.

During the day there will also be opportunities for young people to write thank you letters to the people they are grateful to, ready to enter into a national competition, and to watch gratitude films made by young people across the UK.

To sign up for the workshops or to find out more about them, please either contact Jenny at j.higgins@bham.ac.uk or 0121 414 4803 in advance, or make your way to the Jubilee Centre Marquee on the day.
