We are thrilled that Education at Birmingham has been ranked 4th in the Russell Group, according to the National Student Survey 2016 (NSS 2016) – a jump of 43 places in the rankings.

The NSS is a survey sent to all final year undergraduate students, asking them to evaluate their university experience. 96% of our students were satisfied overall with their experience at the University, with a further 100% stating that their lecturers explained the course content well and 98% agreeing that the course was “intellectually stimulating”.

Professor Julie Allan, Head of the School of Education, said, “‘This result confirms the enormous value that students place on studying education at the University of Birmingham and on the excellent teaching that they experience from high calibre staff."
