Research Topic
An investigation into the training programmes of specialist teachers of children and young people with vision impairments in Turkey and England.
Research Summary
As a PhD student funded by the Turkish Ministry of National Education for studying in the field of education of children and young people with vision impairments in England and as a qualified teacher having graduated in Turkey, I intended to understand how training programmes prepare specialist teachers of children and young people with vision impairments in Turkey and England. It is expected that this research will provide policy-makers and decision-makers with feedback/recommendations to improve practices in the programmes designed to prepare specialist teachers who will work children and young people with vision impairments in both countries.
