You are warmly invited to join us to celebrate and reflect upon Henry Morris and the village colleges featuring:

The archive exhibition and launch of David Rooney, Henry Morris: The Cambridgeshire Village Colleges and Community Education

The Cambridgeshire village colleges initiated a new concept in public education, placing schools at the heart of society. They have had a great impact upon the idea and practice of common education ever since. Henry Morris’s vision formed the basis for a number of ground breaking schools, both educationally and architecturally. David Rooney’s new biography provides a timely opportunity to reflect upon the work of Morris as well as the longer term legacy of the movement.

The archive exhibition is from 16.30 and the panel discussion from 18.00

The Panel Discussion is with:
Tom Woodin (Chair)
David Rooney
Jane Martin
Michael Fielding
Rebecca Webster

Refreshments will be provided.
