On Thursday 21st March we have an Industrial Awareness and Employability Day here in EESE (a welcome break from bench inspections). The following employers will be visiting us to talk to you about the vacancies they have specifically for EESE students:

  • Aero Engine Controls
  • Astrium
  • Atlas Elektronik UK Ltd
  • Hardlight (owned by Sega Group)
  • Imagination Technologies
  • Thales UK
  • VVB Engineering

They will all have their own stands in the reception area between 11am – 2pm and you are encouraged to approach them for a chat about these vacancies. The method of application for the jobs will differ from company to company and I’m sure they will advise you about this when you talk to them. However, I do recommend you have copies of your CV with you if possible. Visiting these stands will provide a great opportunity for you to network and to further enhance your communication skills, and you may well secure yourself a job as a result!

Each employer will also give a talk a some point during this 3 hour time slot in one of our lecture theatres or seminar rooms. There are sign-up sheets for these talks on the doors outside the U/G office so please add you name to the corresponding talk/s - you can attend as many as you like as long as the times of these talks don’t clash and make a note of the room (as they differ depending on time). A timetable for these talks is as follows:
