Kyle Jiang is the Director of Research Centre for High Performance Turbomachinery.
Kyle’s research interest covers high performance turbomachinery and micro/nanotechnology. He has over 250 research publications in books, book chapters and research papers in peer reviewed journals and international conference proceedings, including Nature Communications. He is the inventor of over 10 patents and an awardee of international innovation competitions. Kyle has attracted multiple million pound research grants from EPSRC, Innovate UK, EU, Royal Society, and companies from UK and abroad. He reviews grant application for UKRC, Royal Society, and European countries.
Kyle is active in international academic community. He has acted as general chair for five international conferences, including IEEE 12th International Conference on Nanotechnology. He has delivered over 10 keynote speeches in international conferences. He is a member of editorial board for four journals and guest editor for two. He is Birmingham City Ambassador.
Kyles teaching includes Mechatronics, Control Engineering, and part of Synoptical Engineering to year 2, year 3 and year 4 students.
