Abstract:
Environmental change is already affecting our health in many ways from the effects of extreme events such as heatwaves, flooding, drought, wildfires and even cold snaps. Extreme Events and Health Protection, part of Public Health England, provides a focal point for local, national and international activities to collate evidence based public health science for planning, response and recovery to extreme weather events and natural disasters working with climate change and sustainability partners.
