Title of PhD: Soil erosion and sediment yield assessments in NW Thailand watersheds

Supervisors: Dr Damian Lawler and Dr David Hannah

Sukho Semmahasak is undertaking doctoral research on soil erosion and sediment yield assessments in North-Western Thailand watersheds with the aim of producing acceptable predictions of soil erosion risk and suspended sediment yield in space and time, using GIS-based modelling.

Sukho’s current work is funded by a GEES Overseas Student Scholarship and Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Thailand.

Biography

Sukho Semmahasak is a graduate of Geography and also holds a Master of Science degree in Geography from Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Between his Master and current PhD research he spent six years as a lecturer in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Thailand.
