Sibonile Mathe, MSc International Development (Poverty, Inequality and Development)
When looking for a postgraduate course, I did some research prior to applying and found that Birmingham is an internationally recognised institution and that IDD is well respected. This influenced my decision to study at the university.

Ayaho Oki, MSc International Development (Conflict, Security and Development 2013-14)

I chose to study in the UK because universities in UK have more advanced research on International Development. The University of Birmingham is especially famous for that academic field and many people from all over the world study there.

Video: Pyone Kyaw, MSc International Development Department (2012)

I chose to study at IDD as I won a Chevening Scholarship and wanted to do my masters in the international development field. I was advised by many development experts in the field to explore IDD and I really think I made a good choice. I found IDD not only rich in theories but also very practical.
