Elections expert John Curtice delivers lecture to POLSIS staff and students
On 27 September the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) was delighted to welcome the leading expert on British elections, Prof. John Curtice (University of Strathclyde) who delivered a lecture entitled 'How has Brexit reshaped British politics?'
Professor Curtice's lecture explored the impact of Brexit on electoral behaviour, highlighting not just the shift in voting patterns from 2015 to 2017, but also underlining the significance of age, social values and education in structuring the support for political parties at the 2017 British general election.
Head of Department Dr Tim Haughton commented, "I was delighted Prof. Curtice accepted my invitation to come to speak to staff and students in POLSIS and to provide such a wide-ranging and insightful lecture."
