Doctoral research students in IDD and POLSIS win awards at the recent University Graduate School Awards while Dr Adam Quinn wins the award for Excellence in Doctoral Research Supervision, College of Social Sciences.

Awards for Excellence in Doctoral Research Supervision

These awards recognise and reward outstanding supervision of doctoral researchers.  As a research-intensive university, Birmingham is committed to carrying out research that is world-leading in terms of its originality and distinctiveness, significance and rigour. The awards recognise the significant contribution made by academic supervisors to the successful completion of high-class doctoral research at the University.

Teaching Academy awards for PGRs who are involved in teaching

These Teaching Academy awards are for PGRs who have demonstrated excellence in their contribution to teaching or supporting student learning (e.g. as demonstrators in practical classes; leading seminars or small group teaching; supporting students in their final year projects).

Research Poster Conference 2017

This one-day conference is a celebration of postgraduate research at the University of Birmingham. Postgraduate researchers from different disciplines come together in the Great Hall to present their research to fellow researchers, academics, a panel of judges and members of the public. The Conference is a great opportunity to gain experience in presenting your research to a non-specialist audience and networking with other researchers and academics from different disciplines.
