Model NATO 2018 was one of the most valuable experiences of my life. As a mature student doing a masters in International Development, doing something so politically focused was out of my comfort zone.
We're delighted to announce that an IDD graduate from 2017 has been awarded one of two dissertation prizes by the UK Development Studies Association. Bushra Rehman undertook the MSc International Development (Conflict, Security and Development) and produced a dissertation on 'The intersection of gender and disability in exacerbating poverty in displacement settings: Jordan as a case study'.
The International Development Department (IDD) is pleased to announce that Willem Van Eekelen, a Part-time Visiting Lecturer in IDD, has been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Social Sciences 2016-17.
