Speaker: John Hobson, Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers

John Hobson, a legal aid/human rights barrister based in Manchester. John recently returned from the Northern West Bank, occupied Palestinian Territory, where he spent three months as part of the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme for Palestine and Israel (EAPPI). Guided by the lens of international law John bore witness to the impact of the Separation Barrier upon rural communities in particular and reflects upon the question of the search for a just peace, drawing upon the approaches of Israeli and Palestinian human rights groups alike.

The International Development Department hosts a number of seminars throughout the year which focuses on a number of different topics. The seminars are open to everyone.
