INLOGOV’s teaching team, in partnership with Solace, have been working hard to develop a new Executive Apprenticeship in Public Management and Leadership, and we are delighted to announce that it will be available from September 2018. It is designed for individuals with senior leadership potential and can be paid for through the apprenticeship levy that was introduced by the government last year. The programme provides a way for public sector organisations to upskill and develop their workforce, while at the same time benefiting from the bespoke problem-solving and in-house consultancy enabled through the programme’s design.

The programme involves a combination of work, in practice learning, and University study and participants are required to spend 20% of their time ‘off-the-job’. The programme will be delivered through our innovative blend of online and campus-based teaching, offering participants a tailored learning experience and the opportunity to study in the UK’s leading academic centre for local governance and public management.

On successful completion of the course, participants will have acquired the knowledge, skills and qualities necessary to become dynamic and effective leaders of public sector organisations and will be awarded with an Executive Apprenticeship qualification, a Master’s degree from the University of Birmingham and a professionally recognised management qualification.

On 24th January 2018, 12-1pm, our Executive Apprenticeship programme leads, Dr Stephen Jeffares and Dr Louise Reardon, will be hosting a webinar to explain more about our Executive Apprenticeship. They will also provide more detail on the programme’s content and answer any questions.
