Trust and Cooperation as Social Identity in Northern Ireland

Supervisors: Professor Paul Jackson and Professor Stefan Wolff

Sumedh's doctoral research looks to test the social psychology approach in explaining trust and cooperation in post-conflict societies. Through a mixed experimental and qualitative analysis, and using the Northern Ireland peace process as context, this study looks to identify if, and how, changes in levels of cooperation and trust can be explained by shifts in social identity and other psychological factors.
