Classics in Primary School

The Birmingham and West Midlands Schools Classics Hub welcome teachers and pupils in Years 5 and 6 from the region’s state primary schools to spend a fun afternoon exploring the ancient world.

Pupils will learn some Latin, take part in a myth and storytelling workshop, and get creative with ancient arts and crafts.

There will also be a CPD workshop for teachers to think about how Classics can enrich the busy curriculum at Key Stage 2, as well as information about the resources, training, and funding available for primary teachers through Classics for All.
