DESCRIPTION:Classics 125 is a one-day event to mark one hundred and twenty-five years of Classics teaching at the University of Birmingham.\n
 The day has three sessions:\n

The first examines the history of Classics teaching at the University of Birmingham
The second addresses the experience of studying Classics in the West Midlands and include thoughts on future directions
The third is an evening lecture delivered by Professor Alice Roberts of the University of Birmingham, who will speak on the interface between the sciences and the humanities, and on the place of Classics in a civic university today

 Attendees are welcome to join individual sessions or register for the whole day. \n
 This event is organised by our Department of Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology.\n
