Professor Stephanie Newell (English, Yale) will be joining us to give the Annual Fage Lecture on ‘The Time of Letters: Epistolarity and Nigerian Newsprint Cultures, 1920s-1960s’. 

Professor Dame Karin Barber (Anthropology, Birmingham and LSE) will be acting as the discussant. All our welcome. This event is being organised by the Department of African Studies and Anthropology (DASA) in collaboration with the Birmingham Research Institute for History and Cultures (BRIHC).
