- Dates

Join the Department of Film and Creative Writing and the Centre for the Study of North America for readings by and conversation with American poet Peter Gizzi.
Gizzi is the author of many collections of poetry, including Archeophonics (2016), finalist for the National Book Award; In Defense of Nothing: Selected Poems, 1987–2011 (2014); Threshold Songs (2011); The Outernationale (2007); and Artificial Heart (1998). He has also published several limited-edition chapbooks, folios, and artist books, and a libretto called Ode: Salute to the New York School. Influenced by Ezra Pound, the Beat poets, and John Ashbery, Gizzi uses both narrative and lyrical gestures to engage and question distance and light in his search for the unmapped.
