LLB International Human Rights Law

Students studying in the library

Module description:

This module examines how international human rights law works. It starts with an introduction to the history and philosophical foundations of human rights, and then moves on to look at how human rights are protected in the international legal system, for example, through the United Nations. We will also look at specific substantive rights, such as the right to life, freedom from torture, and the right to freedom of expression.
