On October 12-14 Birmingham Law School will run a writing workshop, supported by the British Academy, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and the South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (SAILS), to foster and support scholarly work by early career researchers from South Asia.

The workshop brings together a team of UK-based scholars and journal editors, senior academics from Bangladesh, and more than 20 early-career researchers from across South Asia. The workshop is designed to encourage and support early career researchers from the region to develop scholarly publications for high impact journals, and build scholarly networks and develop connections with academics and journal editors based in the UK.

The workshop is led by Dr Mohammad Shahabuddin, Reader in International Law and Human Rights, supported by Professor Fiona de Londras (Chair of Global Legal Studies) and Professor Kate Bedford (Professor of Law).
