SUMMARY:'Reflecting on a new core module... Talking About "Legal Communication and Writing
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/127273
DESCRIPTION:BLS Teaching Forum
In this session Steven Vaughan will reflect on his experiences of co-leading and delivering 'Legal Communication and Writing' with Emma Flint. This was a core module last semester for most of the second years doing mixed degrees, and will be a core second year subject for everybody next academic year (save the LLB for Grads and the LLB International Law and Globalisation students). The module allows students the space, if they want, to try various forms of legal communication and writing (blogs, songs, dance, art etc) alongside improving their essay writing and problem question skills. In this seminar, Steven will look at what worked well and what didn't go so well with the module, and show examples of the work the students produced for their summatives. He is hoping to encourage some of you to come teach the module with him and Emma next year.\n
