Education and Sensitization in the Fight against Sexual Violence in Conflict

This 20-month project, led by Dr Janine Natalya Clark, is investigating how educational work with young people in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) can aid the fight against rape and sexual violence stigma.

Positioned within a broader transitional justice framework, and emphasizing a crucial attitudinal dimension of dealing with the past, the project is seeking to foster a more socially supportive environment for male and female survivors of rape and sexual violence committed during the 1992-1995 war in BiH. The project is being funded by the Economic and Social Research Council through its Impact Acceleration Account.
