My research looks at the essential role of law in preventing non-communicable diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancers and obesity, by responding to their modifiable risk factors, such as tobacco use. In my research, I will confront questions such as the extent law should intervene to improve the behaviour of populations, the legitimate role of government in influencing individual behavior, and the role of public health laws to advance the right to health and to create better conditions that enable people to live healthy lives.
My general interests lie in the areas of public health law, bioethics, and global health governance.
