Paul is a Teaching Fellow at Birmingham Law School teaching Tort law and related subjects. His research focuses on competition law and policy, especially in relation to sustainability, innovation, and technology implementation.

Biography

Paul joined Birmingham Law School in September 2022 as a Teaching Fellow. He teaches on the Tort law module. A focus of his recent research is the energy sector and the relationship to corporate governance, market risk, and regulation, particularly in respect to the role that competition law has in achieving sustainability goals and regulating the application of new technologies.

Before joining Birmingham Law School, Paul was a post-doctoral researcher examining issues of antitrust, regulation and competition in the digital and green economies and has previously acted as an associate editor for the European Energy and Environmental Law Review.

He is a qualified solicitor, having worked in the commercial law sector.
