BA, MA, PhD French Studies, University of Birmingham

Fiona graduated from University of Birmingham with BA, MA and PhD in French Studies. She has had an extensive career as civil servant, holding numerous senior level political positions.

Fiona is currently the Director of Transformation within the Home Office. She is responsible for financial and commercial procurement and professional outsourcing within the UK Home Office.

She began her career within academia, working as a Research Associate at King's College London, before entering political roles in numerous governmental bodies. These positions included acting as Secretary to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Immigration and as Head of several offices including Human Resources and Equality Unit and the Mental Health Unit.
