This theme of this event is adaptation and cross-cultural translation. The guest speakers will be Prof. Kamilla Elliott (University of Lancaster) and Adrian Penketh (BBC radio dramatist).

Prof. Elliott will give a lecture entitled 'Refiguring Adaptation Studies’.

Adrian Penketh will then discuss his recent experience of adapting Balzac's La Peau de chagrin for Radio 4. Adrian's radio play, The Wild Ass's Skin Reloaded, is available via YouTube should you want to listen before the event

There will then be presentations by UoB researchers, Dr Elisenda Marcer and Dr Natasha Rulyova.
