 André du Bouchet (1924-2001) was a major poet and translator writing in France in the second half of the twentieth century. The first part of this conference assessing his writing and legacy one hundred years after his birth will consider his work as translator from German, English, and Russian, including in particular his translations of Paul Celan, as well as translations of his poetry and his reflection on the process of translation.\n
