The afternoon dialogue continues to celebrate the long reach of Orlando furioso from 1516 Italy to Birmingham today. Readings and presentations of Ariostoinspired work from Cervantes and Shakespeare to Handel and Gustav Dorè precede a talk by David Lodge about how Ariosto’s poem fed into his campus novel Small World (1984).
