The Summer Festival Sinfonia is a chamber orchestra formed especially for the University’s Summer Festival of Music and features talented musicians from the University and local community. Conducted by Jan Wilke, a postgraduate who studies choral conducting at the University, the Sinfonia presents the winner of the Summer Festival Soloist Competition, along with Mendelssohn’s ‘Hebrides’ Overture, and Schubert’s ‘Unfinished’ Symphony.
