Come along for a day of music-making in The Bramall and find out about the many University Music ensembles and choirs that you can join! Bring along your instrument and voice and get involved.
- 10.30-12pm Symphony Orchestra
Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty
Director of Orchestral Studies, Daniele Rosina, leads a session for mass orchestra.
- 10.30-12pm Early Keyboards
Join our harpsichord tutor, Yat-Soon Yeo for an introductory session f the University's early keyboard collection.
Harpsichordist and early music specialist Yat-Soon Yeo leads this baroque orchestra session, giving you the opportunity to play through some movements of Handel's Water Music.
- 2-3.30pm Chorus
Director of Choral Activities, Simon Halsey, takes you through Fauré's Requiem to give you a taste of life as a singer at the University.
- 4-5.30pm The Big, Big, Big Band
Join our BIg Band director, Jonathan Silk, and members of jazz collective for an afternoon session of big band action - all instruments welcome - the more the merrier! No previous experience required.
Members of the University Music Society Committee will also be on hand to answer any questions and sign you up for society membership.
