CrossCurrents takes over this Barber Evening Concert with a programme of British piano solos and duos, performed by Huw Watkins and Clare Hammond.

No stranger to the music of Alexander Goehr and Robin Holloway, Huw Watkins is a former composition pupil of the two, and has performed in a duo with Holloway in concert. Holloway himself is a former pupil of Alexander Goehr, and so we see the relationships between artists and composers and how tangibly they connect. For CrossCurrents, Huw is joined by Clare Hammond – allowing us to experience two outstanding pianists, their musical interactions, and their enthusiasm
for performing new and contemporary repertoire.

Venue: Barber Concert Hall

Admission: £18, £15 concessions, £12 Barber Association, £5 students/under 18s (Available from the Barber website or by calling +44 (0)121 414 7333)
