The Music Society partner up with the University of Nottingham for this concert, with the University of Birmingham presenting original repertoire for wind orchestra, alongside the world premiere of Jessica Bowen’s Bolero Furia – the winning entry in the 2018 Music Society Composition Competition. In the second half of the concert, the University of Nottingham Wind Band present the lighter side of the wind band world – with arrangements from popular films and
Richard Saucedo’s American Barndance.
